Cad4Solar is offered online. This is an online class taken from the comfort of your home or office. You will experience full interactive training without the time or cost of traveling. Also, the instructor is available to answer questions by email, or by WebEx meeting if necessary.

CAD4SOLAR presents a hands-on approach to learning and practicing AutoCAD fundamentals and focuses on the design and documentation of Solar PV systems. The skills learned in CAD4Solar will be applicable in any kind of CAD project.

Topics include:

• Review of Electrical and Mechanical drawing of PV systems
• Fundamentals of AutoCAD
• AutoCAD user interface
• PV layout and Design in AutoCAD
• Electrical Diagrams, single line and three line diagrams
• Documentation and publishing

Who should attend:

This course is for those already familiar with Photovoltaics. We recommend the Solar Training PV Boot Camp for those who are not familiar with concepts like:

• Inverter Selection Series, Parallel, and Series-Parallel Wiring in PV Systems
• Shade Analysis
• Basic computer functions and software (mouse, menus, etc.)
• Cartesian coordinate systems (X,Y)

This course is for PV professionals, Architects, engineers, licensed or journeyman electricians and general contractors. Basic computer skills are required; Knowledge of other drawing or painting software is helpful.
