Need Help Weatherizing Your House?

March 20, 2009

Welcome, solar enthusiast.

Government to the rescue!   The Department of Energy would appreciate it if Americans did their part to weatherize our houses, lessen our energy needs and our carbon footprint in the easiest way possible.   (Woah! It’s amazing that I can even write that!)

Check out the Weatherization Assistance Program in your state to obtain the correct contact info.  Ask about the assistance available to weatherize your house.  Put someone to work helping you to save some money and limit your environmental impact.

Attention Department of Energy, that’s some great work for the people!  And the people say thank you for putting us to work helping to save our planet.

Most weatherization provider agencies have been doing this for years, just not anywhere near this new stimulus-induced level. Locally, my weatherization providing agency has no web site and is hard to contact, but here is an easy agency look-up site for where ever you live: http://www.weatherize.org then go to look up provider agency by state and county.
