Welcome back, dedicated reader! Thanks for visiting.
Stick a foam finger from a baseball game on the end of a meter stick and attach the stick to a metronome. Put this ticking contraption inside a base that is connected to solar power electricity. Now, point this ridiculous, yet renewable, waving device at the ecogeek for some perma-waving action!
Ecogeek reports that Honeywell Wind Turbines are going to be sold at ACE Hardware stores this fall and that’s great news! The small 2-kW turbines will be roof mountable, six feet in diameter, and potentially able to offset somewhere around 18% of an average household’s power needs.
If ‘average’ means a suburban, 4 bedroom like the picture, then trailors and mobile homes of America take note! The end of the power bill is near! And that’s just the beginning of the story. Have you done your wind training yet? The take home ACE wind turbine is the first sign that wind energy is for everyone!
