Green Energy Economy and Your New Job

June 30, 2009

Welcome back, dedicated reader! Thanks for visiting.

The Climate Bill that passed the House last Friday signals the first legislative steps to addressing global warming; signaling imminent solar job growth explosions across America, lending teeth to the promise of new jobs building the green economy.

But folks, it’s happened already. Despite the lag time in official Green calligraphy until just recently, solar wars have been mounted, waged and won all over the country. Akeena Solar and MCC Construction teamed up, combined forces to complete a 660-KW Solar Installation for the Fresno California Air National Guard Base. Now can you imagine how many crews will be needed to take every military base in the US solar? Are you trained in solar energy yet? I’m going to assume that this monumental task will need some man and woman power to pull it off- everyone from crew leaders, designers, accountants, pr directors… yet ANOTHER sector opening up with spaces to fill for hearty, ambitious individuals.

The Department of Interior has cordoned off sections of land in the south west for development into solar power stations. Job anyone? Have you been trained in solar yet? Arizona has long stretches of sunny land that is going to be developed into solar farms. Texas has the highest wind energy installations to date. Newer inverters are capable of wind and solar connection. When the environmental situations of the two states combine, wind works when solar works less and when solar is hot, the wind dies down. Like a double helix of maximum efficiencies. I hear that there will be people needed to make all of this happen down there in the south west (aka are you ready for a new job?). Are you trained in small wind energy yet? The massive energy restructuring of America is a huge project and your contribution is needed. Get some renewable energy training and take part. It’s all happening now.
